Replacement ATM or Debit Cards:

Once you have reported a lost or stolen Capital Bank ATM or Debit Card, contact a Personal Banker during business hours at (713) 675-2341 to order a replacement Capital Bank ATM or Debit Card.  Replacement cards may be sent via express mail for an additional fee.

Debit Card, ATM Card and Credit Card Usage Safety Tips:

  • Keep your ATM or Debit Card in a safe place.  Treat your card as you would cash or checks.
  • Do not send your card number through email, as it is typically not secure. 
  • If you receive a replacement card, destroy your old card. 
  • Review your account statements carefully and ask about any suspicious charges.
  • Memorize your personal identification number (PIN).  Do not write your PIN number down anywhere and do not share your PIN number with anyone.
  • When entering your PIN number, ensure that no one sees it.
  • Shop with merchants you know and trust, especially when purchasing products or services on the Internet.
  • When purchasing on the Internet, make sure the website is secure.  Secure websites will have a web address beginning with "https://www...." or look for a lock symbol in the lower right-hand corner of your web browser. 
  • Keep all ATM or merchant receipts in a safe place or destroy them properly.


Using an ATM Machine Safety Tips:
  • Always be aware of your surroundings, regardless of the location or time of day.
  • Be especially cautious when approaching walk-up ATM machines.
  • If you witness suspicious activity or feel uncomfortable using a particular ATM machine, leave.  Visit another ATM location or return at another time.
  • Never allow a stranger to assist you with an ATM transaction, regardless of how friendly they may seem.
  • If possible, have a companion when using an ATM machine.
  • When using a drive-up ATM machine, keep your doors locked and your engine running.
  • Do not display your cash and wait to count your cash until your in a safe location, such as a locked car or at home.
  • After completing an ATM transaction, always remember to retrieve your cash, card and never leave your receipt at the machine.  Potential criminals may view your receipt to determine the amount of cash you've withdrawn.
